Post festivity bloated belly and break outs.
Oooh that time of the year. Grandma had feed to much again but how happy about it were you. As good as it is to enjoy the festive time for our mind, sometimes our body is not showing much appreciation for it.
Here are some few ways to kick start the new year feel oh so good.
First day
Drink plenty of water and Herbal Teas
Here is my favourite concotion. It really helps me to get ride of any form bloating, heavy feeling… Simple and effective. Get yourself a hot mug of water and simply add some star anis and cloves (to taste). Don’t add too much cloves as it will make your tongue numb. This is so incredible, it makes my belly go flatter in no time and also boost your immune system.
Eat plenty of greens
You probably already though of that one as it is probably the most obvious one. Of course all types of vegetable are good but leafy greens tend to contain more fiber which will allow your body to… well… let go of excess food you had.
Soup away
Evening time and lightness. Winter time is very generous in any form of squash. So why not using them into our soup with a bit of potato to help our body recover. Squash are also very high in fibers but also all sorts of vitamins helping your body to recover.
Day Two
Let’s get moving.
Now that your gut is getting back on track it is time to regain some energy through mouvement.
Any kind of sport or mouvement that makes you happy will do, the main goal is to move; and also when it comes to sport doing something that you actually enjoy will 100% help you be more consistent.
Lymphatic Drainage
After seating for so long at the table, eating so much food.. your lymphatic system might (will) be paused. Helping it start away with a lymphatic massage is a good way to get things moving, visually de-bloat and overall feel lighter. Book yours today.
Sauna
I am a huge fan of sauna, traditional or infra red sauna I love both of them. Sweating helps to get ride of alcohol that might still be remaining in your body. It is also great for your skin through skin cell rejuvenation, it also helps naturally moisturize your face and body.
